We, as our name suggests, are a fellowship of Christian Lumbermen. We are committed to faithfully representing Christ in every part of life – in our home, our workplace and our heart. This website is a place for sharing resources and encouraging one another toward the goal of Christlikeness.
Welcome to our website!
The FCL exists to encourage and support one another with the following purpose:
- To be a group of people united by faith and work, striving together to make a difference in our businesses, our industry and our community.
- Striving, in all things, to glorify God and strengthen eachother in faith.
- To be that mentor, so badly needed.
- To lean on each other when faced with difficult issues.
- To step out and stand for what is right and acceptable in God’s sight, in accordance with His Word.
- To be a shining example of what a Christ-like life should be.
- To offer ourselves for accountability and to challenge us to excellence.
What We Believe
Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the only Son of the Living God.
He was born of a virgin, gave His live and shed His blood for the remission of all our sins, past, present and future.
He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. His is the only name under heaven by which men can be saved. No one comes to the Father except through Him.
He is coming again.
His Holy Spirit is available to reside in us, to guide us and to convict us of our sin.
We will all stand before Him in judgement someday. We are saved by His grace through faith. The decision we make to accept His grace inspires us in our lives to act for Him and the furtherance of His Kingdom.
We acknowledge the authority and reliability of the Bible, recognize it to be God’s infallible Word and the measure of Christian faith and practice. We enjoy and exercise our freedom in Christ, within the boundaries of biblical truths and guidelines.
The Lumberman’s Prayer
We encourage you to pray this simple prayer, or one similar to it. We encourage you to draw closer to God, and to strive to become a better witness, spouse, parent, brother or sister, and lumberman.
“Dear Father, thank you for your loving-kindness. Thank you, Lord, for the greatest gift of all, Your free gift of eternal life. Strengthen and encourage us as we go about our lives and walk with You. May we be the light that You want us to be. May we honor You in all we do. Bless us, Father. Help us to be all that You want us to be. May we walk in Your will. You have promised that if two or three of us have gathered together in Your name, You will be in our midst. Your Holy Word promises that anything we ask for, in faith, shall be granted unto us. Help us, Lord Jesus, to come together, joining our faith to impact our businesses, our industry and our communities. Help us to be better lumbermen, better parents and better spouses. May You receive all the glory and praise, O Lord, for it is in the precious name of Jesus that we pray, Amen.”
Brian: Great job in refresahing the website.
It looks great. Was wondering if there might be some interest in a “Classified” section. Employers who may be looking for help could let our member know. Likewise, an individual in need of work could let the other members know of that need. This would likely require board approval but I felt like planting a seed today and getting things stirred up. Feedback please!
